Hajji Karim Kaliisa has more than 22 years experience of business management with excellent results in NGO and MEDIA Administration, Executive Management, Management Consulting, Media Entrepreneurship and Information Communication Technology to enhance development for all.

  • Lead Consultant of the Judicial Service Commision to conduct a feasibility and technical study for the establishment of the regional MOS radio stations all over the Country. JLOS-The Justice, Law and Order Sector- Government of the Republic of Uganda.
  • Board member of Next Media Service, comprising of Seven companies; NBS TV, Sanyuka TV, Sa.lam TV, Next radio, Nile Post, Next Communications and Dream catcher

ACHIEVEMENTS

  • Introduced the Italian leading manufacturering company fdi FM/TV Broadcasting Equipments, the RVR in the East African region.
  • Member on Various bodies of Makerere University including University Council
  • Mobilization of Communities towards self confidence and developing for their own being without waiting for foreign help. Schools, health units and social centers have been put in place.
  • Introduced and Spear headed a Media module of having information flow within the region of East, central and Southern Africa, under the Union
  • Spearheaded the partnership of the Turkish modern media technology with the Ugandan Media stations which includes; Next Radio, Victoria FM, Pearl FM, VOA FM, Radio Masaaba FM in Mbale, IUIU FM, Ribat FM in Yumbe, Bilal FM, NBS TV and Salam Television.
  • In partnership with SENA Foundation and TiKA both Turkish based Organizations have facilitated hundreds of Ugandan Journalists training in Turkey.
  • Introduced most of the Ugandan FM radio Stations to the Union of the African Radio stations based in Khartoum, Sudan
  • Provision of Consultancy services to establish the Judicial Service Commission radio stations in all regions of Uganda. (December 2018)

Led the Establishment and management of regional project funded by the Libyan government in support of African Union to install powerful FM radio stations;

  • Voice of Africa radio- Kampala with five repeaters all over the Country for Uganda, under the Union Secretariat based in Kololo.
  • Voice of Africa – Kigali in Rwanda for the AMUR Organization
  • Voice of Africa – Bujumbura in Burundi under World Islamic Call Society
  • Voice of Africa – Kinshasa in DRC under Conuntmite Islamique En Republique Democratique Du Congo (COMICO)

Led the establishment, Installations and management of Pearl FM radio station in 2010, one of the biggest in Kampala and beyond.

Facilitated the establishments of IUIU FM in the Eastern region with both technical and equipments in 2013.

Participated in Establishment of radio Bilal.

Established Salam Television and Sanyuka TV both Under NBS TV, under the umbrella of Next Media Services.

In March 2017, I was one of the three members nominated by the US government with a credible record in Media Industry to Join with the rest of the Media Experience from the rest of the World.
