Hajji Mohammed A. Kaliisa

Biography:

Over 25 years’ experience of business management with excellent results in Business Administration, Executive Management, Management Consulting, Entrepreneurship, Information Communication Technology and Public Speaking. Mohammed is the Chairman and President of REMAX Uganda, a global leading real estate company. He spearheaded a consortium that won the tender to implement over USD 300 million of a Public Private Partnership Real Estate Project. He under Bankshire Technologies facilitated timely execution and delivery of the over USD 100 million National Data Transmission Backbone Infrastructure and e-Government Infrastructure Project (NBI/ EGI).

He also under Soliton Telmec won contract to install and operate the over USD 10 million Google Fibre Project to provide connectivity across Kampala, Entebbe, Jinja and other major municipalities.

Mohammed led a consortium that successfully delivered the over USD 5.2 million of the Electronic Cargo Tracking System for Uganda Revenue Authority, now being expanded across East Africa.

He serves as a Director/ Chairman on various Government and Private Sector Boards including Uganda Capital Markets Authority, Uganda Chamber of Commerce and Industries, REMAX Uganda, Maklines Holdings and Soliton Telmec and he has represented Uganda’s business interests in several countries.

He is a businessman with an eye for the welfare of the less privileged. He has been involved in numerous charitable projects and is a big brain behind the framework of Salam Charity Foundation and the Kariisa Foundation.

Hajji Mohammed Kaliisa holds a Bachelor of Social Work and Social Administration from Makerere University and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Washington University.
